Introduction IX Máster
The Master’s Degree in Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Europe, offered by ESCRBC, provides advanced and multidisciplinary training in the field of conservation-restoration, aimed at professional, academic, and research specialization.
Its main objective is to enhance and update the prior education of graduates in conservation-restoration, enabling them to acquire the necessary competencies and qualification level (MECES Level 3 / EQF Level 7) to join the European job market as highly qualified conservator-restorers, as well as to engage in research activities.
For all the above, this Master’s program is only available to those who hold a higher education degree (Bachelor level or equivalent) in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, in any of its recognized forms. This includes holders of:
a Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage,
a Higher Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage,
a Diploma in Conservation and Restoration (equivalent to a university diploma),
a Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration,
or a Degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in conservation and restoration.
Degrees from institutions within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) or outside of it may also be accepted, provided they are officially recognized as equivalent in terms of content and level.
The general structure of the Master’s curriculum is based on a core of mandatory subjects made up of optional courses, allowing for the flexibility to focus the training — depending on each student’s preferences — on a specific area of specialization or in-depth study of selected subjects.
A total of 14 places are offered for the 9th edition of the ESCRBC Master’s Program. Students may complete the program without choosing a specific specialization, but those who opt for a specialization must respect the following distribution:
Maximum 3 places – Projects and Professional Organization
