Admission Criteria and Applicant Profile

The Master’s Degree in Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Europe is aimed at graduates in conservation and restoration with MECES Level 2 or EQF Level 6 who wish to enhance their skills through advanced and multidisciplinary training. It promotes research initiation and facilitates integration into the professional conservation and restoration sector at an international—especially European—level.

The program is based on the curriculum of the Higher Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage offered by the ESCRBC (Decree 33/2011), and equivalent training must be accredited. To ensure students are academically prepared and acquire competencies aligned with international standards for Master-level professionals in conservation and restoration, prior knowledge should align with the core curriculum established by the Spanish Ministry of Education for Higher Artistic Education degrees in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (Royal Decree 635/2010). Otherwise, students may be required to complete additional training.

Particularly relevant is prior knowledge in the following areas:
Professional Management and Organization

The program includes specific in-depth study of these topics.
A B2 level in foreign languages is strongly recommended to enhance mobility opportunities and access to international internships.
