Admission Criteria and Applicant Profile
The Master’s Degree in Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Europe is aimed at graduates in conservation and restoration (MECES Level 2 / EQF Level 6) who wish to expand their skills through advanced, multidisciplinary training, fostering research skills and preparing for integration as conservation and restoration professionals in an international, especially European, context.
The program builds upon the content of the studies leading to the Higher Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage offered at ESCRBC (Decree 33/2011), so an equivalent academic background is required. This ensures that students can successfully follow the course and that ESCRBC Master’s graduates meet the professional standards recognized in other European countries.

If this is not the case, supplementary training may be required.
Particularly relevant areas of prior knowledge include:
– Professional management and organization
– Conservation and restoration project development
– Research and documentation methodology
These areas are specifically expanded upon in the Master’s program.
Language proficiency at a B2 level is recommended to support student mobility and access to external internships abroad.
