This does not require official recognition, but must be verified by the competent educational authority to demonstrate an equivalent level of training. Access through this route does not imply official recognition of the prior qualification for any purpose other than access to this Master’s degree.

Other Higher Education Degrees:
– Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage (equivalent to a University Diploma)
– Degree in Fine Arts with a specialization or concentration in Conservation and Restoration

A B2 level in foreign languages is recommended to facilitate student mobility and allow participation in external internships abroad.

Some subjects may require prior training in specific disciplines or areas of specialization (consult the subject charts).

Admission Criteria and Candidate Profile

The Master’s Degree in Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Europe is aimed at graduates in conservation and restoration with MECES Level 2 or EQF Level 6, who wish to expand their competencies through advanced, multidisciplinary training that encourages research and integration into the professional conservation-restoration sector, particularly at the European level.

The Master’s curriculum is based on the content of the Higher Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage taught at ESCRBC (Decree 33/2011), making it necessary to demonstrate equivalent prior training. This requirement ensures students can fully benefit from the program and that ESCRBC graduates meet professional standards across Europe.

To ensure that the level of incoming students aligns with the program and international standards for conservation-restoration professionals at the Master’s level, prior knowledge should be consistent with the basic content outlined by the Spanish Ministry of Education for bachelor’s-level artistic education in conservation and restoration of cultural heritage (Royal Decree 635/2010). If not, additional training may be required.

Particularly important are prior studies in:
– Professional management and organization
– Conservation-restoration project planning
– Research and documentation methodology

The Master’s program is designed to deepen students’ knowledge in these areas.

A B2 language level is again recommended to enhance international mobility and access to internships abroad.
