Access Test: Structure
The specific admission test for the Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage at ESCRBC will be the same for all specialties and will consist of 2 exercises:
First Exercise:
- Type: Written and theoretical.
- Duration: 2 hours.
- Content: Choose one topic from ten, divided into four from Art History, two from Physics, two from Chemistry, and two from Biology. The exercise includes a development of the topic, a content outline, and a final summary highlighting key conclusions or concepts. Evaluation will consider specific knowledge, general or multidisciplinary knowledge, appropriate language use, synthesis ability, and general knowledge related to cultural heritage.
- Scoring: 0 to 10 points, rounded to two decimal places. A score of 5 or higher is required to pass.
Second Exercise:
- Type: Practical.
- Duration: 6 hours, divided into:
- Practical Aptitude: 2 hours to perform a practical task assessing skills specific to Conservation and Restoration. Evaluation includes skill, precision, and care in the task.
- Color: 2 hours to perform a color representation task, evaluating technique application and understanding of color values and qualities.
- Drawing: 4 hours to create a mimetic drawing from a free-standing, inanimate model. Evaluation includes representation fidelity, graphic quality, precision, and finish.
- Scoring: Each part is scored from 0 to 10 points. The final score for this exercise is the average of the three parts, rounded to two decimal places. A score of 5 or higher is required to pass.
Overall Evaluation:
- Final Score: Weighted average of the two exercises, with the first exercise counting for 40% and the second for 60%. The final score is expressed numerically on a scale of 0 to 10, with two decimal places. A final score of 5 or higher is required to pass.
