50th anniversary
The Superior School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. Established in 1969 at the then Central Institute of Conservation and Restoration (now IPCE), it is the oldest educational institution in Spain in its field. Since its foundation, more than 2,500 conservators and restorers have been trained there, whose work contributes to the safeguarding and preservation of our vast cultural heritage in museums, libraries, archives, and other institutions.
To celebrate this important anniversary, with which we are very excited, we have prepared various activities in the educational and scientific fields, with the Honorary Presidency accepted by Her Majesty the Queen Emerita Doña Sofía. Through their realization and implementation, we hope to contribute both to the dissemination of the School and to the conservation-restoration profession.
