The Master’s Degree in Artistic Education in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Europe offered by ESCRBC provides advanced and multidisciplinary training in the field of conservation-restoration. It is aimed at professional, academic, and research specialization. Its main objective is to refine and update the prior training of graduates in cultural heritage conservation-restoration, allowing them to acquire the competencies and qualification level required (MECES Level 3 / EQF Level 7) for entering the European labor market as highly qualified cultural heritage conservators-restorers, as well as participating in research activities.
The general structure of the curriculum, which starts with a core of compulsory subjects combined with elective ones, gives the Master’s program the flexibility to focus the training—based on student preferences—on a specific specialization or on in-depth study of certain subjects. Thus, each student may choose to take specific subjects from the curriculum or follow a full specialization. The specialization in Conservation of Tapestries and Knotted Carpets is carried out in collaboration with the Royal Tapestry Factory.
